WriteMaps is a pay-as-you-go service, where you can cancel your subscription at any time.
When signing up to your Professional or Premium plan you can select whether you would like to pay ‘monthly’ or ‘annually.’ Payments are made in advance for access to the paid features.
If you’re using WriteMaps for a project or two, and not sure how long you might need it for, then a monthly subscription is the best choice for you.
If you’re planning to use WriteMaps for at least 12 months, then you can grab an annual subscription which gives you a discount of two months, as well as reducing your transaction count for less accounting effort.
About the Subscription Model
Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) as a business model has been around since early computing days in the 1960s, but since ~2005 really took off as a mainstream business model, and has grown more and more popular in recent years.
The business model most commonly looks like providing users access to a software for a monthly fee.
Due to being cloud-based, this means it’s easier to update, support, and scale to users remotely. This ‘sharing’ in turn drives prices down for the end users.
